  • 2005 VZ200TLRD Tilt/Trim Hydraulic Issues

Removed the tilt/trim unit to replace O-rings due to leaks. Upon reinstall and filling with fluid, tilt/trim will raise and lower but not smoothly. I assumed that it needed more hydraulic fluid, but unit will not take anymore fluid. Not sure if it is because air has not been completely bled from the system. I have tried everything I can think of; any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps something re-assembled incorrectly, but this You Tube shows how to correctly bleed.

    Hope this helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfPyXNQQOf4

I have a question regarding the orientation of the valve seat assembly (valve seat/pin/ball). Should the ball end of the valve seat assembly face the tilt/trim housing or the gear pump housing. Thanks in advance for your reply

          hahahah moo tubes.
problem with a moo tube video describing a porocedure to bleed a system that is self bleeding and NO factory data for bleeding????
makes me think someone had to much time.
the PROPER procedure is too fill everything while assembling then cycle the system 5 times and check fluid level.
