Can anyone see a thread from today about an F150 with a high idle. I tried to reply and now I can’t see it once logged in.....Been a strange day with the plane crash here in town...

I think I remember seeing the F150 post. But...

Bad news about the PR Air National Guard air plane going down. As if PR needed any more bad news. I presume that the flight crew are all Puerto Rican's.

PRs is what I read. Some dispute on 5 or 9 onboard. There is a video (of course) of her spiraling in nose first.

Get this....old plane just out of maintenance here in Sav. They were flying it to Arizona to be MOTHBALLED....in the desert. Fellas over at the Gulfstream ramp saw it happen. Looked to be a mishandling of an engine failure. Got too slow, nose high and spiraled in from about 1500 feet. We saw the smoke from our second story building couple miles away.

It stalled, dropped a wing and spiralled in from the looks of the video. I heard it was on the way to the boneyard as well.
Those poor buggers never had a chance after the wing dropped...very sad event. Hope they figure out what happened.

The media people are just stunningly ignorant. They really don’t know tanks from turds. “Two confirmed deaths, 5 crew members total. We are hopeful!!!””. Nosed in hard, big fireball. Really.... Turns out there were 9 onboard but that’s an ANG paperwork issue. Terrible.

I wondered at first if it might be a rudder issue. I think one of the motors was clearly an issue based on witnesses. Pilots always tend to sharpshoot other pilots when these things happen. “I’’’d never do that!” Where is Oldmako?

The propeller brake and feathering mechanism on the engine used on that model of C-130 was always a bit funky IMO. Just wondering if they had an engine failure that could not be feathered and stopped. As I recall the propeller is about 14' in diameter with blades about 12" wide. Lots of drag if it can't be feathered. But who knows. We are all just speculating for now.

Three years from now and millions of dollars later and we might have a "probable" (good guess) cause. If they will let us civilians read it.

Here is a video showing another air plane stalling and rolling inverted at touch down.

It is a dangerous world out there.

You have to get proper clearance to land on a taxiway. Splain that to the boss.
