Iridium spark plugs with Yamaha outboards

Anyone experienced with Iridium spark plugs on Yamaha outboards?

Some guys say it have better spark but I don´t think so… I guess they are just more resistant and can make more hours with it… In auto I guess they are increasingly the use of iridium spark plugs because the maintenance intervals are longer.

Best to use the Yamaha recommended NGK plugs....I've never had any issues/problems with the NGK plugs....I do pull them out and sand-blast the carbon off about once a year, but my motor is a 2 stroke pre-mix....I expect on one of the newer, clean/lean burning 4 strokes the plugs could last indefinitely.
My motor is a 1999 Yamaha C90 and it's still got the original plugs in it...hey,as long as they're firing good, not much point in trashing them!....
