what advantage running synthetics

I have a F 150 Yamaha, would I see any performance gains if I switched from Yamaha reg 10 w 30 oil to the yamaha full synthetic motor oil. I have read about 100 RPM performance gains and better fuel mileage along with better lube. What does yamaha think about this. Should I change oils.
