If I use"Yamalube" EFI engine storage fogging oil, for a gallon of gas in a portable external tank how much "Stabil" and how much "Yamalube" fogging oil. I have read on other forums that the Mercury/Volvo ****tail suggests using 2-cycle oil rather than fogging oil. I also read that 2-cycle oil doesn't have the same lubricating/protective qualities as fogging oil. I'm all set for this season but since I'm retired, I'd rather do as much maintenance tasks that I'm able to do to keep the expense of operating a boat at a minimum. The pros. at the marina here on Cape Cod charge $100.00 labor per hour. $30.00 for a service manual and suggestions from experienced Yamaha engine owners from this forum will certainly help me keep the costs down.

I use crankcase stor n start and fog with the Volvo mixture using 2 stroke oil.
the crankcase stor n start was designed as an oil additive to protect the shiney parts inside a 4 stroke that fogging wont touch.

the fogging mix is to aid in protecting the fuel system.
