Can the bushing be replaced on propeller

I have a 4HP 4 stroke outboard. It suddenly lost drive. I was not aware of having hit anything with the prop. Anyhow, the local Greek mechanic said that the bush had disintegrated and sold me a new propeller. I have since been told by a UK dealer that the bush indeed cannot be replaced.

Is this really true? Surely it must be possible to replace the bush to give me a spare propeller for when it happens again?
