Starting issue sometimes

I have a 2001 four stroke 115. I am having a problem sometimes getting it to start After I let it sit awile it starts. I replace the thermostat but it still does it . I also found my buzzer alarm was bad and ordered a new one. Will I get an alarm if the engine is hot????

yes it should set off the buzzer and go into RPM reduction or limitation if the motor overheats.

iF YOU HAVE A HARD TIME STARTING YOU NEED TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE IT IS GETTING SPARK WHEN IT WILL NOT START. THAT WILL NARROW THINGS DOWN
