I have a 1988 Yam 70 two stroke and notice the tattletale getting weaker, how difficult is a water pump re do? I'm a carpenter, not a marine mechanic, but have lots of tools and common sense.

how hard is a water pump?
I'm a retired carpenter and I've done it several times. Not very hard. Im sure one of the gurus on here could walk you through it easily. Or there are quite a few you tube videos that explain the process very well. "you can do it".

Here is a video of it doing on a Yamaha 50 - it will give you a good idea on how to do it. It isn't too hard to do, if all the bolts cooperate!
