Thanks for the advice guys. I tried to pry on it some more before I read your posts. Low and behold, I'm going to need a new lower unit. The hole where the part sits gave under the pressure and failed. If I can get a rebuilt one for free from my brother in law, I'm still in good shape. Not sure about that, though. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. So much for getting it done for the weekend. FAIL.
