I have a skeeter 2005 ZX225 with a yamaha 2005 225 HPDI outboard motor. When turn the key on and after the red light for oil goes out I get an alarm that goes off and on. It does not due this when the motor is in gear only when in neutral position. Same thing when motor is running only when in neutral position does the motor alarm goes off and on.

It may be wiring problem in boat, Skeeter did use warning lights in dash because they didn't use Yamaha gauges. In 2005 Yamaha changed the wiring on engine for trim and oil wires and if the boat has 2004 wiring harness the wires on warning lights may have to be changed. I havn't seen the 2005 Skeeter's so not sure how they are doing it now. On a HPDI engine you have 3 alarms, low oil , overheat and water in fuel warning. Make sure the oil tank in boat is over 1/3 full, check the red float in fuel filter on engine, if not at bottom remove fuel bowl and check for water.
