I just got a 2008 Caribe center console dinghy with an F20 on it. It is working fine except that it will not exceed 3800 RPM's. I've changed the plugs, fuel, filters, oil. The prop is a 9 1/4 x 12 J1. I've been told that I should change to an 8 or 9 pitch prop. The total weight of evrything is around 1100 pounds. It is impossible to find info on this, but what I found said that I will get about 100 to 150 RPM's from each inch which doesnt get me up to the 5500 I should get. Please help.
