I HAVE A EXTRA LONG SHAFT (25") YAMAHA 90AETO 1994. WANT TO CONVERT IT TO A LONG SHAFT (20").
DO I JUST NEED TO REMOVE THE 5" LEG SPACER AND REPLACE THE ABOVE WITH A LONG SHAFT (20") AND LONG SHAFT SHIFTER?

Usually it is removal of the spacer and a change to the drive shaft (or different lower unit altogether), water pump tube and shift shaft. Maybe some different lower unit attach bolts.

Power plant usually needs to be removed to change the water pump tube and the shift shaft.

I am trying to buy a long shaft (20")from the wreckers, is that all I need 1/ a long shaft and 2/a long shaft lever?

They are trying to sell me all sorts of things!

you will need a water pump tube and shorter bolts
