hard to start 2001 225 hp ox66 when cold

once it starts it starts fine the previous owner said it might be time for low pressure fuel pumps what do you guys think? its been 3 years since they were changed going to order anyway and change them out just dont seem logical to me more like a thermo switch maybe? pretty new to these newer motors kind of miss my old carbed motor right now any help thanks

thermo switch has nothing to do with starting.
