Hello everyone!
I have a 1990 40 ELD 2-stroke. I recently discovered a vertical crack at the front end of my outboard which follows the channel that supplies water to the spedometer tube. It seems to be superficial and does not seem to affect the gearcase. I don't use the speedometer feature. I think that corrosion inside the speedometer channel had weakened that area over the years. Does anyone have any experience in fixing something like this?
