2001 150 hp Yamaha saltwater trim gauge wiring?

I want to put a trim gauge on my Sea Pro and it has a 2001 model 150HP Saltwater fuel injected motor. I am told they all come with a sensor so how do I wire it. Are wires in the harness already if so what color. If not how do I wire myself? Also how do I id it for sure- I think I can see it but not sure since it has a jack plate. Thanks.

if the sender isn't stuck, take the pink sender wire to the S terminal and the black to an engine or gauge package ground.

? not Yamaha gauges

I see the above post regarding gauges it says trouble with gauges that are not Yamaha. My trim gauge not so will pink wire and black not work?
