2002 200 hp four stroke low oil pressure alarm coming on 3500 RPM not all the time. changed oil and filter 10w-40w same thing. put mechanical gauge on and sending unit. running at higher pressure then specs. no alarm.put back together ran 15min stopped. 10min later started to plane off low oil alarm at 3500 rpm. will the alarm come on if pressure is to high? if so it could be high pressure relief valve, or just a bad sending unit sending. unit is $190.00 please help

yes, higher than normal pressure will trigger the alarm.
the laptop can spot it high or low. -
have you seen any sending units go bad .will laptop show sending unit bad, or just pull the codes,arlarm historyComment

all the laptop will show is whatever the ECU sees that the sensor is sending.
The F200 oil pressure is set up on an ECU map.
if pressures are above or below what the map VS RPM is then the ECU sets an alarm.
ECU's,like laptops, are incredibly stupid but they will react.Comment
