95 250 Lost Power, then Died

My 95 Yamy 250 has 600 hours on it. Compression is good at 110 - 115 all cylinders. I was out this morning and it started losing power and then lost it all together.. Wouldn't start again... battery's are good/Carbs aren't spraying at this point, but fuel is getting past check valve (Cleaned that out)/ No spark according to my timing gun on any spark plug wire while cranking. Cranks fine. Any thoughts on potentially known issues?? How can I test the CDI?

Changed the stator, and it fired right up..Tried many times, issue resolved!
