2000 Yamaha SX 200 TRXY salt water series Issues with shifting forward to neutral

Starts out fine after running for while have issues getting back into neutral position stays engaged but once we turn engine off for minute it will go into neutral has happened few times doesn't happen all time

carefully test the shift cut switch and the slide assy.

What do you mean by cut switch and where is it located thanks for feedback

if you have to ask, then use the dealer locator function and find a master tech.
trust me it will save time and money.
I am not busting chops but this time of year is rather busy and sometimes its cheaper to pay.
just be aware that not all techs have the same training or abilities.
