2002 Yamaha 115 hp 4-stroke motor alarm goes off after 1/2 hr of medium speed, motr goes int limp mode, but no temperature or oil pressure code shows on the dealer diagnostic computer. (dock service call) turn motor off and back on-alarm not present; but, first start up of the day the alarm goes off. turn-off and then a turn-on alarm goes away. any advise?

on that motor the diagnostics will only show a code if the code is currently active.
it will show if the temp or oil switchs threw the code.
low battery voltage will show up as well. -
thx for reply. during techs dock visit temp maintained at 140, oil level full, volts steady at 13; but of course no alarm. is it reasonable to have the tech and his diagnostic computer take a test ride with me?Comment
