We changed the water pump and in order to get the lower unit off we had to unthread a bolt for the shifting rod. We counted the threads so we could put it back to the same place. We replaced the water pump, put everything back together, now it will not come out of forward. What have I done? I am fairly sure we put it back together exactly like it was but then again we are not the most mechanically minded people either.
