my 25hp (electirc start) has been in storage for the winter, it's always started. i pulled out and tried to start. i had fresh gas. the gas line from the 6gal gas tank to the motor was plugged, looked like the hose delaminated. i replaced the hose and the gas line filter. the filter easily passed air but i replaced anyway.
the motor ran but only from ~ 30secs to few minutes. when it stopped running i looked at the gas line filter and it was empty. when it runs for >minutes i watch the fuel filter and it stays full of gas then all of a sudden it starts to empty and then the engine dies.
from my point of view the problem is either the fuel pump or there's an air leak in the connection to the tank or motor.
is there anyway to isolate this issue? or can you suggest something?
