90 hp oil pump test and adjustment

I recently purchased a 2000 90 hp yamaha two stroke. How do I test make sure oil pump is working and what is procedure for adjusting pump linkage?

Service manual has oil pump output test or can put 50:1 oil mix in gas and mark oil level on oil tank and see if oil level drops after a tank of gas.
