19 200 hp yamaha small tube outside the lower unit???

whats the small black tube outside lowerunit for ? Is this a pitot tube for speedo????? or just water pressure

Speedo works off water pressure.

The "pitot tube" (or pick up hole) is a very small hole in the front of the lower unit. That black hose connects the lower unit to another hose that runs up to the speedometer.
