About a month ago, I bought a used boat with a year 2000 Saltwater Series II carbureted, 175hp motor. Compression was good on all cylinders, and it runs and idles very well. My only maintenance plans are to change the lower unit oil, and run high quality 2stroke oil and ring free in it.
So, each year, make, and model of motor has its own quirks and things to watch out for. Does this motor have anything that needs special attention -- impeller, oil injection system, filters (like a vst)?
