What would give out first if a Yamaha 90 overheats due to lack of water, the heads or the block? I have a cracked blocked, does that mean the heads are bad as well? The inlet ports always get a great deal of grass (salt water) on them.

If block is cracked then will need new powerhead which comes with new head.

I have the same motor and I'm just curious...did your overheat alarm buzzer ever go off to indicate a high temperature situation?
