Prop size question

I have a 2000 G3 PF165 with T9.9 4 stroke. The prop says 9¼ x 11¼. I do not see the prop in the Yamaha line. This was bought new from G3/Yamaha dealer. Some people say I need to run smaller pitch. This unit runs about 8 mph. any suggestions . Are the numbers backwards fro od and pitch on the prop. It is aluminum

There is a 9 1/4 x 11 prop available. Only way of knowing if can use a smaller pitch prop is to check rpm's at full throttle.
