Tiller Conversion

Hello,
I am thinking of converting my 2000 25HP to remote.
The model number is 25MLHY.

Are these the correct parts needed?

For the 25MLH you need
6L2-48501-11-00 Remote Attachment Kit
689-61350-02-00 Steering Guide
6J8-48511-51-4D Steering Hook
701-48101-51-00 701 Side Mount Control box(manaul start)
Also need two control cables, MAR-CABLE-xx-SC(replace xx with length cables needed)

Is this something an amateur could do? ( I don't even winterize it myself )

it is not hard to do, but you should be mechanicaly inclined.. the main thing is the shift and throttle adjustments,, also how do you plan to start it,,, that model number indicates this is a manual start, so you are still going to need , starter equipment, not sure this is cost effective. what you are going to spend on the conversion you could probably find another motor already equipped..
