Shaft holder tool FT9.9AE '89

Any idea how to hold the shaft without a shaft holder? I've found these on eBay after looking for one from Yamaha but having no success. I don't want to wait the while it will take to order one so wondered if there was a way I could do without.

What shaft is it?

Crankshaft. I think it's 20mm.

You would need the tool with correct splines to fit shaft.

Can't find a part No. 90890-06069 anywhere in the UK or the US, so hoping to have my engineer fabricate one, once I've pulled the Power Unit to have a look at the area. He is already making the fly wheel puller (drill four holes in a sheet of steel ).
