  • 32 oz gear oil enough for 1994 150 TXRS?

    Hi,
Sorry if this is repetitive, I've searched and cannot find the exact answer. I'm about to change the gear oil in my 1994 150. I have a manual and it states that the capacity is 33.1 oz, so I'm trying to decide whether to order just 1 quart or 2. It makes sense that 1.1 oz (or more) may not drain out so 1 quart may be enough, I would just like to know for sure.
    Thanks in advance!

Get two quarts, it has to be completly full of oil.

        remember.
with the cavitation plate level, fill from the bottom until it runs out the top vent hole.
        install the ventplug.
        remove the fill nipple.
        install the drain plug.
        new gaskets are always good.
DO NOT attempt to add more fluid after installing the vent plug.
        JUST DONT.
