New Yamaha owner of 2005, 50hp motor

I have some questions about my 50 hp Yamaha outboard. Is it safe to run while hose is flushing motor out of water? A Yamaha book did not come with my motor. Anyone have that book to sell? Bob.

Should not run engine on the fresh water flush hose, need to use the ear muff style flusher or run it in water.
