I know this is a very subjective test and we would need to know much more to consider this test acceptable.

I think its very possible. But does it void any warranty you potential have with Yamaha or others?

All I know is none of that oils are recommended for those outboards.

Yamaha Recommends:

10W30 or 10W40

They used a 20W50 and 5W40
