help my yammy mid section gets hot! 9.9 high thrust yamaha 4 stroke 1992

let her sit for 6 months
ran great before i put the motor up.
so this morning
pulled her out and cleaned carb, fresh non ethanol, and oil change.
gear oil was fine.

started it up and no peeing of water. even after 1 min and some revs.
smoked a hella lot first firing up but did not take long to fire up. couple secs and it turned right over

didnt really smoke that much before using it.
but smoke coming from prop stopped after about 20 seconds of running

but after a few mins no water was coming out still so i shut it off.
it had a few chuckles and backfires when i was reving it somewhat through out that 2 mins i had it running.

also felt really hot near power head and right above the lower unit which would be the lower end of the midsection and right above the lower unit, it was very hot to the touch of the metal.

could be impeller?

If not pumping water it will get hot, replace water pump.

alright. would you happen to know of any site that you would recommend buying the water pump kit from. i have looked to no luck.
