I have a F150TLR Jan 07 with 160hrs.
I bought the boat used with 90hrs. on motor. It is running fine no noise.
My question is should i go ahead and replace the balancer this winter before any problems arise? This year seems to have problems and i want to avoid them. Or should i wait and see if it lives ?
I have read most of the posts on here and it is nice to find a forum with top notch mechanics with experience on this motor. I built dirt track cars and motors as well as older 2 stroke outboards in years past. It is good to see a place where people know motor theory and what makes them spin. Other places you see if you want more power just put more fuel in it. They have never heard of fuel/air ratio or that lean is fast just watch the edge.
Thanks for being here
