  • using xd 100 2 cycle syntetic oil in yamaha.

I am interested in using the XD 100 2 cycle syntetic oil in my 2000 SX250 TXRZ. Any coments on that ?

WHile some people may disagree with me on this, I have been told by numerous independant marine techs and Yamaha techs that Yamalube produces more carbon build up than other TW3 oils. It was recommended that I use XD100 or at the very least XD 50.
as far as proper lubrication goes, any TW3 oil will suffice though

    Just my 2 cents.

You can use it fine, but XD 100 is quite expensive to use as a standard oil, in the etec the computer is set to cut the oil compsution in half.. it is a good oil though.
