Asking assistance - 1988 2SG outboard

Just purchased 1988 2SG outboard. Previous owner said it ran. Can't get it started. Doesn't seem to have spark? Any diagnostic suggestions or where in Sarasota,Fl area can I get service?

test spark,make sure the kill lanyard is attached.
you can use the yamaha marine dealer locator function.
