Lift Assist

Hey, guys new to forum. I have a question about the lift assist on my 2001 40 fourstroke. I believe the assist is still functioning when I lift it is steal easy. But my problem is that it will no longer lock into position the lever still moves but just won't lock the motor in place.

Just make sure lever is tight on shaft, not much else can be done except replace assit cylinder.

I checked it out and the handle still turns the shaft. Could anyone tell me were I could order a new lift assist. I have looked and have had no luck finding one.
