  • F80a to F100a

    Hi!

I do have a 2005 F80a carb and I have been researching the diference to a F100a and found that is mainely on carb jets and F100a have an extra check valve (not necessary?).

    Acording the following parts manual:

    http://motorka.org/doc/yam_f80A_f100a_parts.pdf

To improve for a F100a I need to change:

    67F-1494F-04 Jet 4units #12 on page B7
    67F-14947-10 Jet Needle 4units #13 on page B7
    67F-14943-32 Jet Main 4units #14 on page B7

There is a few more things like:

67F-14860-00 Check Valve Body Assy #49 on page C2

(this afternoon I’ve been on my local dealer and the mechanic said that is not necessary and is not even on sale on their computer parts info in Portugal, he said that just the “older” models had this like they had 2 fuel pumps and now is just 1 “like mine”) is not really necessary? If not, better.

If its not necessary the check valve body assy so won´t need other parts like:

    67F-14255-00 #47 on page C2
    67F-14567-00 #48 on page C2
    67F-14349-00 #3 on page C4
    67F-14348-00 #9 on page C4

Everything else is the same on F80a and F100a

The price of parts here are a little more expensive than (Ex.)boats.net and in euros

Be patiente! Have a look and give me your opinion please!

    Hi!

Today found manual parts of Yamaha F100b and F100c (both carbs) and my local Yamaha dealer mechanic was right. Is not necessary the check valve body assy that does not exist on models B and C for 100hp (exactely the same as F80a)
So, just need to change Jets for improve 80 hp to 100Hp.

Good luck and watch the fuel consumption then.
