  • Rigging analog gauges on a 2002 Yamaha Vmax 225 OX66

I am switching my bass boat over from Merc to Yamaha. I have a 2002 225 Vmax that I am getting ready to rig. I have a Yamaha analog tach with oil warning lights, a trim indicator gauge, a 6x3 control box and a key switch.

Can someone please point me in the right direction as far as where to wire the tach and trim gauges, along with color codes? I have a 10 pin harness coming to the control box and to the key switch.

Do the trim gauge and tach wire to the key switch or do they have a separate harness that goes back to the engine? I only see a plug for the oil tank harness and the main engine harness on the engine. I have rigged one with a smart tach before, but never with an analog tach and trim gauge.

Please feel free to email me at heathk90@gmail.com if you have a schematic or can point me in the right direction as far as how to rig these gauges.

    Thanks.
