Starter Problem

I am having trouble with the starter on one of my YAMAHA LF225CTURD motors.
When I turn the key it only "clicks" at the engine. After four or five trys, it will start. I checked all the electrical connections on the motor and the switch and all are clean. I this a solonoid or starter problem?

check the starter relay.
its a small black relay with 4 wires and it requires airbox removal to access.
its on the front of the engine electric holder just below the trim relay.
