Yamaha 1990 130txrp 2-stroke alarm sounds when starting up on plane.Have replaced thermostates,motor is peeing fine.Sometimes the alarm comes on sometimes not. Since the alarm started the gauge goes from 10 to 20, almost to much preasure. Any ideas?

Are you sure it is high temp alarm and not oil?
Do you have gauges that indicate what the alarm is? -

Thankyou 99yam40 for the tip. The alarm was heat not oil the previous owner took the oil injection off, said he had no faith in oil injection alarms? Makes no sence to me. But checked the thermostat sensors , they had mild corrosion. Cleaned them off alarm stopped going off, looking back should have done that first,Da. LOVE THIS FORUM!!!! Have learned more in two days than can shake a stick at . Thanks again.Comment
