Year of Manufacture

Hi. I have just purchased a boat with a second hand engine. The engine is a Yam 9.9 hp 4 stroke electric start. ID F9.9 AE 6G8 L 406715. There is a small letter B stamped on the bottom right of the ID plate. Can anyone identify the year of manufacture. Many thanks Chris

That serial number does not come up in database. That motor was only sold in Europe and South America and we dont have any information on it.

Use the forum directory and email "colossus" - he use to have some kind of Yamaha data base that had all of their s/n - maybe he can help.
