  • Prop size quandry!

I am changing my prop from aluminum to stainless. I was wondering if someone could help determine if I should change prop size. My current prop is 10 5/8 x12 -G. I have 17 1/2 ft. aluminum center console with a Yamaha 50tlr. I am satisfied with the performance of this set up. It runs 36 mph with 2 people, which is about 10 mph faster than I like to go unless running from rain. Is a stainless prop this same dimension right for this boat? Or is there something else that would be better for my boat? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Baldy Locks.

Generally you have to drop one pitch size when going to SS, a 10 pitch SS prop may be hard to find for a 50TLR.

I found this prop on your site. Would it not work on my 50 tlr?

        That size prop should work.
