I have a 2007 225 HPDI on a Skeeter bass boat,i'm having an issue with the motor shutting down with no alarms,most times i turn the key and i starts,could this be the main relay in the fuse box breaking down? Thanks for any help.

If it shuts down while underway and then restarts you have a fuel issue. It resides in one of tywo areas. First check the low pressure fuel pumps. There are three of them on the port side. Just loosen them, one at a time from the side of the block. Pull them away from the block about 1/4 inch. Squeeze the fuel bulb. If gas comes out of the pump the diaphram is comprimised. I would replace all three of one is gone.
The other thing to do is to replace the VST filter in the high pressure pump. Actually, that is a 3mm filter and all other filters are 10mm. So change it anyway.

I think it's more of an electrical issue,somedays it will be fine and others it will happen 2or3 times but Saturday it happened once and when i turned the key nothing,oil light didn't come on and go off,turned the key and nothing,waited a few minutes and it started,that's why i was asking about the relay in the fuse box? ThanksComment
