Poppet Cleaning 225 HPDI

I removed the poppet on my VZ225TLRD for cleaning and found a o ring in the spring. In all the parts diagram I see no o’ring for the poppet. Or could this had come from somewhere else. I was experiencing lower than normal water pressure was the reason for cleaning and did find some sand particles in the poppet area. The entire water pump assemble was replaced at the beginning of the season. Thoughts/Suggestions.

No there is no o-ring in pressure control valve, may have come from water pump large o-ring between housing and wear plate or one between liner and upper water pump housing.
