On my F115 LRTA (2002),Where does the tach signal at the engine come from? Is there a dedicated coil that picks up from the charging magnets? Is there a signal from the ECU? Is there a Hall sensor? After hours of searching, I have not been able to find a wiring schematic showing how the tach signal is generated. There is a 4-pin connector on the starboard side of the engine that has only 2wires; one is green and the other another color. the wires appear to go up into the flywheel area. Is this for the tach signal? There is no continuity between these wires or to ground.
