hi, I have a 2006 sundance b18 with a 2006 yamaha outboard the tachomoeter stopped working on it but the hours clock still works i'm getting 6.5 volts to the tach and if i tap on it, the needle moves some and won't return to zero my question was if i replaced the tach, will my hours clock be zero?? i don't want to cheat anybody out if I happened to sell it one day..

New tach will be 0 hours and can't reset to current hours.
