The wire colors match half and half (Cannot find Wht/Yel,Wht/Grn). Also the OEM Ohm readings are different, and I do not have a terminal block like the picture shows.

With that said I still believe DVA meausrement will show me a lot and is well worth doing, but it just looks different.

Thanks for all of the help The pulser being the wrong spec helps clear things up for me. Sounds like now my only wrong measurements are in the CDI.

I would stick to the Yamaha service manual the best you can, just make sure you look hard at what you are reading and compare specs in the steps to the ones in the charts in manual if things do not look right.

The stuff from CDI web site is kind of generic but does have some good info on troubleshooting. I believe they make some of the parts themselves so they may not be exactly like Yamaha, or they are for the older motors

Way late on replying to this thread but the motor is fixed! During the fuel pump and hose replacement one of the hoses got pinched by the oil resivor. This led to the engine die completely. When I pulled out the spark plugs I noticed they were dry and started to investigate. Removed the tank and saw the pinch. After that it started right up. I have had very small fuel issues still but I believe they were from the boat sitting so long. It has jumped out of the hole just fine since.
