Yamah c90 broken water pipe

Is there a way to repair a broken water pipe without pulling the powerhead? I was thinking of buying the part and doing a splice with a sleeve made from braided hose?

Powerhead is not that hard to remove on a 90hp, I would replace it.

Thanks. It's just the boat is on a lift and very difficult to get to from the top. I stand in the water at low tide to remove the lower unit and can work on lower section very easily.

You will need a hoist to remove engine, it's a little heavy.
