Change of ECU with y-cop system?

HI! I have a Yamaha F30 -2012 with the Y-cop security system, that I thinking of upgrading to a F40. The F30 an F40 is the same engine except for Intake and ECU.

If I buy a new F40 ECU, will this work with the Y-cop system out of the box, or does it need to be programmed by a Yamaha service shop? How does it work?
