I have a F225 2004 and have replaced the Multifunction Gauges and harness to the outboard.
The Tach is indicating the water in fuel alarm (flashing) but when the motor is trimmed up above level 5 on the tach, the water alarm stops. I have unplugged the trim sender, when the motor is trimmed down, and it stops the alarm also.
To my knowledge the motor hasn't got the water in fuel sender fitted, and the motor runs fine.
The wiring harness from the outboard has the pink wires common to the trim sender and to the alarm output plug, this is also indicated in the workshop wiring diagram. I have disconnected the red/white wire on the 4 pin plug which connects to the common pink wire to the trim sender. This has cleared the alarm for the time being.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
